Assemble the pole according to the manual and slide it through the pole sleeve. The pole comes with an elastic cord and ball. Thread this elastic through the rings at the bottom of the flag so that the ball rests behind the top ring.
The bottom section of the pole has an adjustable clamp ring. Loosen the clamp ring and slide it slightly upward so you can hook the elastic onto the small hook. Then slide the clamp ring back down to tension the flag and secure it tightly. Make sure the top tip of the pole is properly seated at the end of the sleeve.
