What is the difference between CMYK and RGB colors?

The main difference between CMYK and RGB is their intended use. RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is used for digital screens such as computers and TVs because it adds light (additive model), whereas CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black) is used for print because it absorbs light (subtractive model).

The color range (gamut) of RGB is larger and brighter than CMYK. This means colors that appear vivid on a screen (RGB) may look muted when converted to CMYK for printing.

Designs should be submitted in the CMYK color model for print to ensure the final result matches the digital design as closely as possible.

We recommend using CMYK 60/40/40/100 for a black background and CMYK 0/0/0/100 for black text.

Note: When a product is displayed outdoors, all colors will eventually fade due to weather conditions and sunlight.
